#CATIA NO SHADOW IN RENDER ARCHIVE#
This software version supported Physically Based Rendering (PBR, a technique based on light physics to describe materials) including Substance Archive similarly to game engines and reference Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools, and fast scalable performance with large Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and NVIDIA GPU. After showcasing several proof of concepts at SIGGRAPH Conference in 2014, 20, 3DEXPERIENCE R2017x release was the first major step of this collaboration. I've had the opportunity and pleasure to lead this partnership since early 2014 when experts on both NVIDIA and DS sides started working hard to provide first class real-time rendering for the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. NVIDIA and Dassault Systèmes initiated a strong collaboration more than 17 years ago to bring the best performance and rendering quality to Catia users before it became the CATIA brand on 3DEXPERIENCE, the DS software platform. This experience was one of a kind for me and I wanted to spend time sharing how it was created and what I learned from this pet project. For the RTX A6000 launch at the GPU Technology Conference (GTC) of October 2020 starting today, for the first time of my career, I have been building the demo content using CATIA software myself as well as shooting the content, writing the script and creating the rough cuts of the demo video. For that reason, I am regularly involved with demos to highlight DS software leveraging NVIDIA technologies at our events. Leading the engagement with Dassault Systèmes (DS) at NVIDIA, I'm responsible for aligning strategies of both of our companies, accelerating NVIDIA technology adoption in DS software and working on cross promotion of the resulted work once released in DS products.
